Proficy iFIX is one of the most common HMI / SCADA operator systems for power and energy. Flexibility, security and fast communication, all powered by GE Vernova.

Redundancy

In energy systems, it is very important that the operator system has high availability. Therefore, Proficy iFIX has extensive redundancy features.

Alarm handling

The operator system features advanced alarm handling, with mobile control, alerts, acknowledgement, and comprehensive analysis for prioritised alarm management.

Storage of history and analysis of process data

Proficy iFIX logs various process data, including flow, pressure, and temperature, in Proficy Historian, which ensures data redundancy and local buffering. All alarms and event data are stored with detailed tags. Data can be viewed in raw or refined formats, such as min, max, and medium. The operator system offers flexible display options, including trend curves and historical playback. The trend tool allows real-time and historical analysis, with features like comments and integration with the alarm system for comprehensive analysis.

Reporting

Novotek’s Report Plus offers a powerful tool for creating reports based on various templates. It allows the same template to be used for different periods, facilitating maintenance and consistency. Ready-made templates simplify energy and environmental reporting.

Technical Overview

NRP handles automatic reporting from Proficy Historian and SQL databases like MES and LIMS, aggregating data into time-based or event-based records. It includes a data correction interface and supports various calculation modes, presenting data in tables, graphs, and more.
